KALAKAND WITH DRY FRUITS

HOW ABOUT IF YOU CAN MAKE THAT YUMMY MOUTH WATERING KALAKAND AT HOME...

LETS SEE HOW TO DO IT................

INGRIDIENTS:

1. MILK( FULL/SEMI FAT)- 1 LITRE

2. SUGAR- 2 TBSP

3. ELAICHI CRUSHED/POWDER- 1 TSPOON

4. DRY FRUITS( CASHEW NUTS, RAISINS, ALMOND)- CHOPPED

5. MILK( FOR LATER PURPOSE)- 1/2 CUP

6. FOR- GREASING

AND LOTS AND LOTS OF PATIENCE....HAHA

METHOD:

1. TAKE RAW MILK IN A PAN, PUT IT IN MEDIUM FLAME AND AND LET IT BOIL SLOWLY. DONOT LEAVE IT JUST LIKE THAT, STIR IT FOR SOMETIME IN MIDDLE BY PUTTING THE FALME ON HIGH AND DEN AGAIN LOWER DOWN THE FLAME TO MEDIUM ND LET IT BOIL. REPEAT THIS STEP AGAIN AND AGAIN TILL IT IT STARTS TO BECOME LESS IN QUANTITY AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURE BELOW...

2. CONTINIOUSLY STIR IT. WEN YOU SEE THAT IT HAS BECOME THICK ADD SUGAR, ELAICHI POWDER, SOME OF THE CHOPPED DRY FRUITS AND 1/2 CUP MILK AND AGAIN GIVE IT A GOOD STIR ON LOW-MEDIUM FLAME.

3. YOU WILL NOTICE THAT AFTER COOKING IT FOR SOMETIME IT HAS STARTED LEAVING THE PAN FROM BOTTOM. IT INDICATES THAT THE MIXTURE IS COOKED PROPERLY.

4. SWITCH OFF THE GAS AND GIVE IT A STANDING TIME OF 2 MINUTES IN THE PAN.

5. NOW GREESE A PLATE WITH GHEE. AND POUR THE MIXTURE ON THAT PLATE, SPREAD IT PROPERLY AND GIVE IT THE THICKNESS WHICH YOU WANT.

6. KEEP IT OUTSIDE FOR GOOD TIME TO COOL IT DOWN AND THEN KEEP IT INSIDE FREEZE FOR
