WINTERS ARE INCOMPLETE WITHOUT GAJAR KA HALWA... NOT TO BE SAID IT IS EVERY INDIANS FAVORITE DISH...
MANY MAY KNOW HOW TO PREPARE THIS DISH,YET MANY ARE THERE WHO DONT...
LETS BEGIN WITH THE RECIPE....
INGRIDIENT:
1.GAJAR(CARROT)- 500 GM
2.SUGAR- 1/2 CUP.
3. MILKMAID-200GM
4. CRUSHED ILAICHI- 5 TO 6
5.GHEE- 5-6 TABLESPOON
6.MILK- 750 GM
7. DRY FRUITS- AS PER REQUIREMENT
METHOD:
1. THE VERY FIRST STEP WOULD BE TO WASH CARROT PROPERLY,DRY THEM AND GRATE THEM. KEEP IT ASIDE COVERED.
2. NOW TAKE A PAN,ADD 4-5 TBSPN OF GHEE INTO IT. LET IT MELT,THEN ADD GRATED GAJAR IN IT AND FRY IT ON MEDIUM FLAME FOR ABOUT 10 MIN. UNTIL RAW SMELL OF THE GAJAR VANISHES.
3. COVER IT AND KEEP ON FRYING. ADD SUGAR AT THIS STAGE AND PUT THE FLAME ON HIGH AND FRY FOR 5MIN TILL SUGAR MELTS AND MIXES WITH GAJAR.
4. NOW IS THE TIME TO ADD MILK MAID(YUMMMYYYYY....!!!!!).... MIX MILKMAID PROPERLY AND AGAIN FRY FOR 3-4MIN ON MEDIUM FLAME.
5. NOW FINALLY ADD MILK, CRUSHED ILAICHI AND DRY FRUITS AND PUT THE FLAME ON HIGH.
OHKAY SO HERE FIRST BRING ENTIRE HALWA TO BOIL FOR ONCE ON HIGH FLAME THEN LOWER IT DOWN AND COVER THE PAN AND LET IT COOK ON ITS OWN...
6.KEEP ON CHECKING AND MIX PROPERLY. IT WILL TAKE AROUND 15-20 MIN FOR THE ENTIRE THING TO COME TOGETHER.
7. BRING HALWA DOWN THE FLAME WHEN IT REACHES DESIRED CONSISTENCY...
