GULAB JAMUN IS A VERY FAMOUS INDIAN DESERT BUT WE DONOT ALWAYS BE ABLE TO MAKE THEM INSTANTLY AT HOME.. SO HERE I BRING YOU ALL GULAB JAMUN WHICH WILL BE MADE OUT OF BREAD WHICH IS GENERALLY AVAILABLE AT EVERYONES HOME....
LETS TAKE A LOOK AT THE RECIPE......
INGRIDIENTS:
1. WHITE BREAD- 8-9 IN NUMBER
2. SUGAR- 1 CUP
3. AMUL MILK POWDER- 3 TO 4 TBSPN
4. CRUSHED CARDAMOM- 7TO 8
5. KISMIS (RAISINS)- 10 TO 15
6.LUKE WARM MILK- AS PER REQUIREMENT FOR KNEEDING
7. ALMONDS- 1OR 2 FOR GARNSING
8. GHEE- 4 TO 5 TBSPN
METHODS:
1. CUT ALL THE BROWN SIDES OF BREAD AND GRIND THEM TO MAKE FINE POWDER. NOW TAKE IT OUT IN A BOWL .
TAKE A PAN AND START MAKING SUGAR SYRUP BY ADDING SUGAR WATER AND CARDAMOM IN IT. LET IT BOIL ON ITS OWN.
2. NOW HEAT UP MILK FOR KNEEDING. IT SHOULD BE LUKEWARM.
3. NOW ADD MILK POWDER AND SOME OF THE CRUSHED CARDAMOM IN IT AS SHOWN BELOW.
4. NOW ADD LUKEWARM MILK BIT BY BIT AND START KNEEDING.
5. NOW MAKE SMALL BALLS AND INSERT 2 RAISIN INSIDE EACH BALL AS SHOWN BELOW.
6. NOW MAKE BALLS PROPERLY AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE SUPER SMOOTH AND THERE ARE NO CRACKS IN IT.
7. HEAT 4 TO 5 TBSP GHEE IN A PAN OR KADHAI AND HEAT IT UP FIRST. THEN LOWER DOWN THE FLAME AND BALLS ONE BY ONE INTO IT.
8. FRY THEM ON LOW FLAME TILL THEY BECOME BROWN IN COLOUR.
9. WHEN THEY BECOME BROWN TAKE OUT THE BALLS AND QUICKLY DROP THEM INTO THE SUGAR SYRUP AND SWITCH ON THE FLAME. GIVE IT A BOIL FOR 1 MIN AS SHOWN BELOW.
10. THEN SWITCH OFF THE FLAME AND COVER THE CONTAINER WITH A LID AND GIVE IT REST FOR 1.5 TO 2 HOURS.
FINALLY TAKE TJEM OUT I A BOWL AND GARNISH WITH CHOPPED ALMONDS AND RAISINS...
