OATS CHILLA
OATS IS KNOWN TO BE FULL OF FIBRE AND LOW IN FATS AND HENCE A GOOD FAT REDUCING AGENT.. ITS GOOD TO INCORPORATE OATS IN DAILY MEAL IN DIFFERENT FORMS. LETS HAVE A LOOK AT THIS EASY PEESY OATS CHILLA WHICH IS MADE OF MINIMAL INGRIDIENTS .
INGRIDIENTS:
OATS- 1 CUP
CHOPED GREEN CHILLI- 2
GINGER CHOPPED/CRUSHED- 2 INCH
GARLIC CHOPPED/CRUSHED- 5 TO 6
ONION FINELY CHOPPED- 1
MILK- 1.5CUP
SALT- AS PER TASTE
OIL- AS PER REQUIREMENT
METHOD:
1. TAKE ONE CUP OF OATS IN A GRINDER AND MAKE FINE POWDER.
2. NOW IN A MIXING BOWL ADD POWDERED OATS, CHOPPED GREEN CHILLIES, GINGER, GARLIC , ONION, SALT AND MIX IT PROPERLY. NOW ADD MILK GRADUALLY AND GIVE IT A GOOD MIX TO MAKE A BATTER. OATS AFTER GETTING SOAKED IN MILK TENSED TO INCREASE IN VOLUME SO DONT LEAVE IT FOR LONG TIME. QUICKLY START MAKING CHILLAS.
3. TAKE A PAN BRUSH SOME OIL ONTO IT.
4. NOW TAKE YOUR DESIRED QUANTITY OF THE BATTER AND SPREAD IT ON THE PAN. DONOT SPREAD TOO MUCH OR ELSE IT WILL BECOME THIN. WE ARE TO MAKE LITTLE BIT THICK ONE. SO THAT IT CAN REMAIN MOIST AND FLUFFY. COOK IT ON LOW FLAME FOR ABOUT 4 TO 5 MIN.
5. NOW COVER IT WITH A LID SO THAT THE CHILLA CAN RETAIN MOISTURE INSIDE IT AND IT CAN COOK PROPERLY.
6. OPEN THE LID AND TURN THE CHILLA UPSIDE DOWN AND COOK FROM OTHER SIDE IN THE SAME WAY BY COVERING THE PAN WITH A LID.
7. AFTER ABOUT 4 TO 5 MIN TURN OFF THE FLAME AND TAKE IT OUT FROM THE PAN AND SERVE WITH FAVORITE CHUTNEY OR KASUNDI.
